As a nonprofit, we work to develop a variety of funding mechanisms. Grants are an essential strategy, but our goals are to be diverse and flexible with sponsorship and patronage. Private philanthropists have the ability to quickly enable essential organizational functions. With appropriate support, we deploy the resources and talents of a skilled staff and other appropriate personnel to execute the mission of the organization.
Why Sponsorship is Important
Graphic novels have a fixed set of costs when connected to the expertise and resources of WBP. Our goal is to pass credit and appropriate compensation for graphic illustration. 60% of the cost per issue goes to artist compensation.
